Quraan Reading for Youth and Adults:

All praises is due to Allah, the lord of all that exist and prayers of blessing and praise be upon the noblest of the prophets and messengers Muhammad (peace be upon him) his family and friends.

From the blessing of Allah upon us is that he has given us the Quraan to read, to contemplate its verses and has given us the ummah the ability to memorize the holy Quraan.

Allah says in Surah Al-Hijr:

“Verily we have sent down the message and will as surely protect it from

corruption.”

Reciting the holy Quran should be one of the first priorities in the life of a Muslim. Unfortunately a vast majority are not able to read or they able to read but not with proper Tajweed and proper articulation.

The benefits and virtues of learning Quran are uncountable and here I would just like to mention a few:

The Prophet (may peace be upon him) said:

“The best of you are those who learn the Quraan and teach it.” (Al-Bukhaaree)

“The one who recites the Quraan proficiently will be with the honorable and obedient scribes(of the angels) (Muslim)

Khabbaab bin Al-Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him) said to a man “Draw near to Allah as mush as you able and know that you will never draw near to Him with anything more beloved to him than His Words (i.e. The Quraan)
